Title: Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Magic is dangerous--but love is more dangerous still.

When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.

Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club; Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What's more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own.

Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by--and torn between--two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length...everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world...and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.

My Thoughts:

The Clockwork Angel is the first book in the Infernal Devices series, the story is set in the Victorian era, London. The heroin in this book is a 16 year old girl Tessa.

Tessa is a normal girl who love reading book especially novels, one of here favorite novels are Little Women. She was in her way from New York to London to meet her brother Nate Gray after her aunt death, and there where she was told that she is not a normal human, and that she is  magical by two sisters who called them self the Dark sister.

When Tessa find out what the Dark sister wanted from her she tried to run away but she got catch again and then she was rescued by a boy who's older than her by one year or so, and he called him self a shadow hunter.

I have to say the book is very interesting, the minute I start reading it I didn’t want to stop tell the last page but unfortunately I have to work and study . I liked Tessa’s character, I liked that she a very polite, kind and strong. Also, I liked that she say what in her mind when she feel that she can’t take it  anymore.

In the other hand, the male character in this book was not my favorite to be honest. I liked that James was a very gentle man but I didn’t like William personality, he was so ungentle man, also I were very disappointed when I didn’t get to know anything about Williams' past as I am so eager to find out what had happene to him that he become the way he is.

The book was very fun and exciting. I liked the development of the event in this book and I’m so eager to read the second book which I will receive in two weeks ^_^.
